Boiling Point of water at different pressure :
Boiling Point of water

Do you know, why cooking in a pressure cooker cooks your food fast!!, it is because of the rise in pressure inside the cooker. When we increase the pressure, the boiling point of the water starts increasing.Water boils at approximately 100 °C (212 °F) at standard atmospheric pressure. The boiling point is the temperature at which the vapor pressure is equal to the atmospheric pressure around the water.[10] Because of this, the boiling point of water is decreased in lower pressure and raised at higher pressure. This is why baking at elevations more than 3,500 ft (1,100 m) above sea level requires adjustments to recipes.

You can do an experiment by measuring the boiling temperature of water at different temperatures.

Economical and in-Expensive Kids Birthday Project Ideas

1. Movie night, and have dinner afterward (or lunch before since that's cheaper).

2.A camping trip or a long hike/picnic. You can all play capture the flag and such. There are also places where you can take a group of friends and do some arts and crafts (like painting little white statues that they will glaze for you). Or go play Lazor-tag. Just call around town and see what different businesses can do for groups.

3.Iron chef @ home(just made it up)

4.Dance Party(dance to your favorite tunes)

5.Games such as :
  • Spin the bottle
  • Stories
  • Truth or Dare
  • Music
  • Dance
6. How can boiling water turn into snow in cold air?
You can try this experiment with all safety precautions if you live in cooler places where temperatures drop to freezing point. First, throw room temperature water into the air and after that throw boiling water and find out the difference that boiling water freezes quickly while room temperature water remains the same. You should find out the science behind it.
