LED lights

What is an LED?
In simple terms, LED is a light-emitting diode, which emits a photon(light) when electricity is passed through them.

LED's of Light Emitting Diodes are the future of lights. When we pass current from semiconducting material doped with impurities to create a p-n junction, electrons meet photons and generate light. They are economical and very useful. The main advantage of LED lights is their lower energy consumption. I will take some real-life examples of LEDs to make your concepts more clear.

Why LED's are so important?

As we are moving towards green energy, we are realizing this fact that it is not going to be a one-way process where we keep on generating electricity without putting a tab on our consumption. We all know that a large part of the electricity we consume used for lighting our homes and streets. If we can curb that demand using LED’s that would be a great favor to our environment.

Our Objective: To develop LEDs that are brighter, economical and efficient.
